The drive unit powers the flexible shaft and vibrating head used to compact freshly poured concrete. As the head vibrates, it helps release trapped air and allows the concrete to settle around reinforcement and into corners of the formwork.
HOPPT offers three drive unit configurations for different site requirements:
The choice of drive unit depends on the working environment and the vibrator shaft and head required for the job. Check the engine, shaft connection, and compatible vibrator head when selecting a configuration.
Choose the Right HOPPT Drive Unit
HOPPT offers three drive unit designs for concrete vibration. Each powers a compatible flexible shaft and vibrator head; the main difference is how the unit is supported and protected on site.
| Drive unit | Best suited for | Why choose it |
|---|---|---|
| General concrete vibration work | A straightforward drive unit for routine applications. | |
| Busy sites where the unit is frequently moved or handled | Its full rectangular frame surrounds the engine and provides accessible points for lifting and positioning. | |
| Work areas where the unit may be knocked or tipped | Its rounded frame and low base provide a more stable setup during operation. |
For routine work, choose Standard. For frequent handling, choose Premium-Frame. Where stability is the priority, choose Tumbler-Type.
Before ordering, confirm the engine option and the required flexible shaft and vibrator head to ensure the complete setup suits the job.
